Let Codex install this repository as its own marketplace - #47

Conversation
Codex shows a cross-repository plugin as a bare placeholder until it is installed, because it has no manifest to read. Adding a Codex marketplace manifest here lets Codex read the plugin's name, icon and descriptions straight from this repository before install. Why
In the Codex app, the Primitive plugin installed through
primitivedotdev/codex-pluginshows as a placeholder before install: lowercaseprimitive, a generic icon, and "This is a cross-repo plugin. Install it to view more detailed information". Codex has no manifest for a plugin that lives in another repository until it installs it, and it ignores icon paths on such a marketplace entry. What
.agents/plugins/marketplace.json: makes this repository its own Codex marketplace, sourcing the plugin from./. Codex can then readplugin.jsonbefore install.scripts/check-plugin-manifests.mjs: CI fails if the marketplace entry is missing or stops pointing at the repository root.codex plugin marketplace add primitivedotdev/skills.This only adds a second way to install. The
primitivedotdev/codex-plugincommand keeps working.Verified
With
codex-cli0.158.0 and an empty Codex home, added this branch as a marketplace and read the plugin back through the Codex app server:Primitive, short description, brand colour, website, and the icon path resolving toassets/icon.png.claude plugin validate --strictand the manifest check pass. Not verified: the GitHub shorthand, which reads
main; and the rendered result in the Codex app UI.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
