fix: skip epics by issue type and support items by label - #9
The roadmap restructure on project 8 changed two things the report relies on:
Epics are now issue type Epic, and the [Epic] title prefix is gone.
Open support issues moved from glific/support-process into glific/glific with the support label, under the "Q3 Support Issues" epic.
_should_skip matched on the title prefix and the repo, so epics and support issues would have been counted as deliverables.
What
The project items query now fetches issueType { name } for issues.
_should_skip skips an item when its issue type is Epic, it has the support label (case-insensitive), or it's in glific/support-process. The repo check stays for closed issues left in that repo.
Filter values are now constants: EPIC_ISSUE_TYPE, SUPPORT_LABEL and SUPPORT_REPO.
The skipped-items note now reads "epics / support".
Tests and README updated.
Testing
pytest: 188 passed.
A live --dry-run against project 8 fetched Iteration 96 (23 items, 3 skipped). The run then stopped at the Anthropic summary step because no API key is set locally, which is unrelated to this change.
Epic issues, items labeled “support” (case-insensitive), and items from the support-process repository are now excluded from iteration calculations and deliverables.
Skipped-item notices now describe these as “epics/support.”
Documentation
The README explains the updated filters and identifies the settings that control them.
Epics no longer carry an "[Epic]" title prefix and open support issues
now live in glific/glific, so the old title and repo checks missed them.
Skip items whose issue type is Epic or that carry the support label;
keep the support-process repo check for closed issues left there.

The iteration update now requests issue type names and excludes items whose issue type is exactly Epic, whose labels include support regardless of capitalization, or whose repository is glific/support-process. The skip count and Discord and CLI exclusion labels reflect the updated rules. Tests cover the filtering behavior, and the README documents the filters and their configuration settings.

Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Check all labels before retaining an item.
If an issue has more than 10 labels and support is not in the first 10, PROJECT_ITEMS_QUERY omits that label. _should_skip then retains the support issue and includes it in the completion calculations. GitHub returns labels through a paginated connection. Fetch the remaining labels before deciding, or increase the query limit if the board has a verified lower maximum. Add a test with support beyond the first page. (docs.github.com)
