Incredibly Slow Macbook

I'm running MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1 on a MacBook Pro Mid 2012

My system is running incredibly slow and laggy. Doing things as simple as loading system settings takes forever.

The system has a 2.5 Ghz i5, upgrade to 16gb of ram and installed on an SSD.

I was wondering if this is normal or if there's something I go do to boost performance.

Note: I am running the latest version of OpenCore with the latest root patches installed.

This has nothing to do with the project other than the fact plists are an apple format. But you should just downgrade your OS, you're not meant to go that far. Even though support will be dropped for you for a lot of apps, go back to at least big sur. And please capitalise GB (gigabyte) / Gb (gigabit, 1/8th of gigabyte), it's harder to know which one you're referring to when it's fully lowercase and the reader has to guess it from the rest of the context.

This is also not a valid issue but I cannot close it. Github issues are for reporting bugs with the project, sometimes for help with the project too, but not with general tech support.
