📍 Auckland, New Zealand 🇳🇿 NZ Open Work Visa — valid until August 2029
I'm a software developer based in Auckland, New Zealand, with a background spanning software development, IT services, business operations and client-facing technical problem-solving.
I started professionally in IT and C# development, later built and operated my own IT services business, and increasingly moved toward building software, automation and digital solutions for real operational problems.
After completing my Master of Business Informatics in New Zealand in 2026, software development became my primary career focus.
Today I work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, cloud deployment, testing and AI-assisted application features — with particular interest in building software that is useful, maintainable and grounded in real business needs.
- 💻 Software development: React, Angular, TypeScript, C#/.NET, Node.js and REST APIs
- 🗄️ Backend & data: ASP.NET Core, Hono, PostgreSQL, Supabase and SQL
- ☁️ Engineering delivery: Docker, Azure, GitHub Actions, CI/CD and Vercel
- 🧪 Quality: xUnit, Jest, Vitest, Testing Library and Playwright
- 🤖 AI integration: LLM APIs, Gemini, structured validation and controlled AI-assisted workflows
- 🧠 Business context: Master of Business Informatics + extensive client-facing IT experience
- 🇳🇿 Work rights: New Zealand Open Work Visa valid until August 2029
React • TypeScript • PostgreSQL • Supabase • Hono • AI
A service-operations platform developed from an earlier C# solution into a modern multi-user web application supporting approximately 200 users.
Key engineering work includes:
- React and TypeScript frontend
- Supabase PostgreSQL, Authentication and Realtime
- Authenticated Hono API routes running server-side
- PostgreSQL Row Level Security
- Server-side AI integration using Gemini
- Zod validation for AI and application data
- Automated Excel, Word and PDF document generation
- Customer-scoped data access
- Transaction-sensitive operations through database RPCs
- AI features designed as controlled assistance rather than autonomous business actions
One automated reporting workflow reduced approximately 4–8 hours of manual preparation and review to around 1 hour.
The full operational platform is private because it contains client and operational data. A public demonstration version is available through my portfolio.
React 19 • TypeScript • Zustand • React Flow • Web Workers • Playwright
An interactive system-design laboratory for modelling distributed architectures and experimenting with system behaviour directly in the browser.
The project allows users to configure scenarios involving:
- Traffic
- Latency
- Queues
- Caching
- Failures
- Reliability behaviour
Engineering highlights include:
- Typed domain modelling
- Separation between UI, application state and simulation engine
- Web Worker-based deterministic simulations
- Zod schema validation
- Architecture templates
- Schema migration
- Transactional undo/redo
- Vitest
- Testing Library
- Playwright end-to-end testing
Angular 22 • TypeScript • RxJS • ASP.NET Core • PostgreSQL
A full-stack household accounting application designed to record and review everyday financial activity in New Zealand.
- Angular standalone components
- Reactive Forms
- RxJS
- TypeScript
- ASP.NET Core REST API
- Entity Framework Core
- PostgreSQL
- Business validation
- Swagger / OpenAPI
- API and integration testing
- Docker Compose
- GitHub Actions CI
- Reproducible development environment
C# • .NET 10 • ASP.NET Core • Azure • Docker
A backend project focused on microservice boundaries and cloud deployment.
Built as separate Catalogue and Order APIs with:
- REST endpoints
- Request validation
- Service-to-service communication
- Docker containerisation
- Azure Container Registry
- Azure Container Apps
- Git/GitHub workflow
- CI practices
ASP.NET Core • Hono • Next.js • Entity Framework Core • Zod
SQL • PostgreSQL RLS • Supabase Auth • Azure Container Apps
CI/CD • xUnit • Jest • Vitest • Testing Library • Swagger
I use AI as an engineering tool rather than as a substitute for engineering judgement.
My current experience includes:
- LLM API integration
- Gemini API integration
- Structured AI inputs and outputs
- Schema validation with Zod
- AI-assisted text and workflow processing
- Claude Code
- Codex
- Cursor
In Gestor Pro, AI capabilities are deliberately constrained: models can organise, suggest and rewrite information, but cannot independently create services, modify workflow statuses, assign users or write sensitive operational data without explicit user action.
Brazil | 2014–2026
Ran an independent IT services business supporting long-term clients across multiple industries.
Alongside client support and infrastructure work, I progressively developed software, automation and workflow solutions to solve recurring operational problems.
Highlights:
- Developed and evolved internal and client-facing software
- Worked directly with users to translate operational requirements into technical solutions
- Built C#/.NET utilities for workstation configuration and software deployment
- Automated repetitive reporting and document workflows
- Supported approximately 200 users through the evolution of Gestor Pro
Brazil | 2012–2014
- Developed a C#/.NET and Firebird application for inventory and remote-support cost tracking
- Created a portable C# utility for software and driver deployment
- Provided remote and onsite technical support
- Collaborated with technicians to diagnose software, hardware and network issues

I'm currently strengthening my software engineering depth through projects involving:

Architecture & Reliability APIs • distributed systems • testing • CI/CD • containers
Cloud Azure • Docker • Vercel
Emerging Areas AI integration • cybersecurity • Go • Rust
I'm particularly interested in the intersection of:
Software Engineering + Business Context + AI + Human Judgement
I enjoy understanding not only how to implement a feature, but also:
- why it should exist,
- what problem it solves,
- how users will interact with it,
- where its failure boundaries are,
- and how it can be maintained after delivery.
That combination of technical implementation and practical problem-solving is the direction I'm continuing to develop.
I'm interested in software developer and junior-to-intermediate software engineering opportunities in New Zealand, particularly where I can contribute to a collaborative engineering team while continuing to deepen my technical experience.
