Selenium IDE is not recording keystrokes in input fields #1950
When recording a test script using Selenium IDE, typed text in an input field (such as a search bar) is not captured if the user submits the form directly by pressing the Enter key without first clicking out of the input box or shifting focus away (blur event). As a result, the type command is omitted entirely from the recorded steps, causing recorded test workflows to fail upon playback.
Steps to Reproduce
Open Selenium IDE and start a new project recording.
Navigate to https://www.google.com/ (or any site with a search/text input field).
Click into the search input box and manually type a search query.
Press the Enter key immediately to submit the form without clicking elsewhere on the page.
Stop recording and check the generated command list.
Expected Behavior
Selenium IDE should listen for keyup/keydown or input change events and capture the typed input (type command) along with the submit action (sendKeys ${KEY_ENTER} or submit), regardless of whether an explicit blur/un-focus event occurred before submission.
Actual Behavior
The IDE fails to register the input value. The type command for the field is omitted from the recorded test steps, recording only the navigation or no action at all for the input step.
Reproduction Project File
No response(The issue is consistently reproducible via the steps listed above).
