Agent instructions live in AGENTS.md so every coding agent (Codex, Cursor, Claude Code) reads them; Claude Code loads AGENTS.md when there is no CLAUDE.md.

Agent instructions move from
CLAUDE.mdtoAGENTS.mdso every coding agent (Codex, Cursor, Claude Code and others) reads them. Claude Code loadsAGENTS.mdwhen a directory has noCLAUDE.md, so Claude agents lose nothing. Docs-only: the file is renamed as is and references to it are updated.
