Linux binary compilation

I would like to know whether I could help with building binary packages for linux. I have built quite some packages for linux, I know that python can be tricky to work with in terms of binary compilation but I would do my best to help.

Hello. I got it to work. Everything is working so far accept the compilation. I got this error:

Try disabling plugins before reporting as a bug.

It says that such a directory doesn't exist. I know that it does indeed exists. It is not like an file permission issue, I was able to open and save files. Here are the commands I have used so that you can check it yourself.

git clone https://github.com/ooflet/Mi-Create.git
cd ~/Mi-Create
python3 -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate
cd src
python3 main.py

I'm not quite sure if it has been pushed on the main branch because I haven't worked on it for a while, but the output file extension has changed from .face to .bin, try changing the line responsible for that to .bin and see if it works. Right now I'm working on a ton of improvements on the "next" branch, which should have compilation working

I know what is the problem. The compiler for watchfaces is an .exe file so unless I use another linux supported compiler or wine layer I see no other way. That is why it could't find the generated watch face, the compiler has never started since windows executables can't run out of the box.

Normally the program checks if wine is available in the current environment so this error should never show up, maybe on Flatpak it's a different story. Regardless, some work on a Linux port by another person is in the works, so keep an eye out for that.
