on screen orientation changed. try:

1. adb logcat at.tugraz.ist.akm:V | grep GC_
2. start app and change screen orientation a few times
3. watch the GC output

could fix the main problem but one MainActivity still leaks when orientation is changed several times. the problem seems to be related to WifiManager and https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=43945
